Boss Mudhead Kachina

Hand-Carved and Painted Hopi Boss Mudhead (Mong’ Koyemsi)  Kachina with Feathers. Koyemsi are well-known figures in Hopi ceremonial life, often recognized as clowns who participate in dances and act as messengers.

Old-style Kachinas are traditionally made for hanging, and this figure includes a loop on the back for wall display.
