A spectacular, deep red Mediterranean oxblood coral cabochon (35 carats) is set in the center. The coral is among the finest weâve ever seenâintensely saturated, glassy, and full-bodied red. The bracelet weighs a 116.8 grams and is marked on the interior with Johnâs tobacco leaf signature, the 18k stamp, and the Kopavi shop mark, this bracelet reflects Coochyumptewaâs masterful balance of bold imagery and refined goldwork. Coochyumptewa used eagles frequently in his designs. He was affectionately known as âEagle Boyâ. This is a rare and significant piece by one of the most respected Hopi goldsmiths of his generation.
