Sterling silver cuff bracelet featuring a procession of stylized āKopaviā flute players, made by acclaimed Hopi silversmith, Phillip Honanie in the mid-1980s. The Kopavi Flute Player was a design originally created by Phillipās cousin, Delbridge Honanie. The repeating figures, executed in traditional Hopi overlay technique, represent flute player dancers and are adorned with symbolic stepped patterns on their torsos, referencing the path to the next world. This bracelet is marked on the interior with Phillip Honanieās hallmark and the Kopavi shop hallmark.
This piece is featured in Hopi Gold Hopi Silver by Zena Pearlstone (page 74), underscoring its significance as an important work of 20th-century Hopi jewelry.
