Hand Coiled and Traditionally Fired Zia Polychrome Jar with Hand Painted Roadrunners and Geometric Designs by Zia Potter, Lois Medina (1959 - 2002). In Zia pottery, the roadrunner symbolizes protection, agility, and cleverness, and is believed to ward off evil spirits while serving as a guardian of the home. Condition is very good with some rubbing on the bottom.
